flist friday: f is for food
As you know I am Italian, so good food is pretty important in my life...

Like, I honestly get upset when I go to an Italian restaurant in the US and I order spaghetti and I see that watery thing appearing on front of me, or when I order a pizza and the crust taste like nothing because there is no salt in it!

So here some questions about food...

- Do you prefer sweet or savory?
- What is your favorite kind of cousine/what is your least favorite?
- Top 5 of your favorite foods / Top 5 least favorite foods.
- Taste changes: What did you like now that you didn't like when you were a kid?

- Do you prefer sweet or savory?
As a kid I was all about savory, but after the crazy diet that made me lost half of my weight and put me in a borderline situation, I started to appreciate sweets as well... but I tend not to indulge myself if not once every 2 weeks.

- What is your favorite kind of cousine/what is your least favorite?
I like real italian food... But now that I'm in the States I find that my favorite is now Japanese Food! When Eric an I go out we almost every time go to eat sushi. My least favorite is Indian.... I tried it a couple of times but I just don't like it! :(

- Top 5 of your favorite foods / Top 5 least favorite foods.
FAVORITE:
1 Focaccia Genovese
2 Pesto
3 Salad with Romaine/Tomatoes/Avocado/Feta/Homemade Crutons (with olive oil as dressing)
4 Porcini Mushrooms
5 Stracchino Cheese

LEAST FAVORITE
1 Anything with Vinegar/Balsamic Vinegar
2 Apples and Pears
3 Eggs (by themselves not as part of baked goods)
4 Red Meat
5 Spinach

- Taste changes: What did you like now that you didn't like when you were a kid?
When I was little I absolutely hate having to eat Minestrone (alla Genovese... which is not as watery as the Minestrone other people knows and it contains Pesto) I didn't like veggies so much. But then I stopped eating, because I wanted to get thin and the best thing to put in my stomach that was low in calories were vegetables. I started eating salad at lunch and boiled mashed vegetables in the evening and I started to like it... I still eat salad every day at lunch and soup or yogurt in the evening, but I tend not to starve myself counting the calories! :D

I wish you all a great weekend, if you go eat out I hope you'll go get something that's in your top 5 list! <3

Do you prefer sweet or savory?
I prefer sweet, to be honest. However, I like combining sweet and savory together, making a perfect balance of the two (like dipping french fries in Wendy's Frostys, for example).

What is your favorite kind of cuisine/what is your least favorite?
Japanese has been my favorite cuisine for a long while. I also eat a lot of Italian-esque foods (pasta, pizza, etc.)

Top 5 of your favorite foods / Top 5 least favorite foods.
Favorites: Pizza, pasta, gyoza, chocolate, and cornbread stuffing (from Hometown Buffet, RIP.) Least favorite: Bacon, chili, cauliflower, coffee anything (I'm allergic), and pie.

Taste changes: What did you like now that you didn't like when you were a kid?
Honestly? Pizza. I have a memory of trying it once as a kid but immediately hated it, and I didn't eat it for a long while after that. It wasn't when I was in junior high when they offered pizza during lunch when I tried it and I suddenly loved it. Alternatively, the kind of thing that I used to like before but now I don't is soda. I was addicted to soda all throughout junior high and high school, but realizing how unhealthy it was for me I stopped, went cold turkey. I never went back to drinking it. I even tried a sip of one once after the fact and I cannot stand the taste of it.
