flist friday: f is for food
As you know I am Italian, so good food is pretty important in my life...

Like, I honestly get upset when I go to an Italian restaurant in the US and I order spaghetti and I see that watery thing appearing on front of me, or when I order a pizza and the crust taste like nothing because there is no salt in it!

So here some questions about food...

- Do you prefer sweet or savory?
- What is your favorite kind of cousine/what is your least favorite?
- Top 5 of your favorite foods / Top 5 least favorite foods.
- Taste changes: What did you like now that you didn't like when you were a kid?

- Do you prefer sweet or savory?
As a kid I was all about savory, but after the crazy diet that made me lost half of my weight and put me in a borderline situation, I started to appreciate sweets as well... but I tend not to indulge myself if not once every 2 weeks.

- What is your favorite kind of cousine/what is your least favorite?
I like real italian food... But now that I'm in the States I find that my favorite is now Japanese Food! When Eric an I go out we almost every time go to eat sushi. My least favorite is Indian.... I tried it a couple of times but I just don't like it! :(

- Top 5 of your favorite foods / Top 5 least favorite foods.
FAVORITE:
1 Focaccia Genovese
2 Pesto
3 Salad with Romaine/Tomatoes/Avocado/Feta/Homemade Crutons (with olive oil as dressing)
4 Porcini Mushrooms
5 Stracchino Cheese

LEAST FAVORITE
1 Anything with Vinegar/Balsamic Vinegar
2 Apples and Pears
3 Eggs (by themselves not as part of baked goods)
4 Red Meat
5 Spinach

- Taste changes: What did you like now that you didn't like when you were a kid?
When I was little I absolutely hate having to eat Minestrone (alla Genovese... which is not as watery as the Minestrone other people knows and it contains Pesto) I didn't like veggies so much. But then I stopped eating, because I wanted to get thin and the best thing to put in my stomach that was low in calories were vegetables. I started eating salad at lunch and boiled mashed vegetables in the evening and I started to like it... I still eat salad every day at lunch and soup or yogurt in the evening, but I tend not to starve myself counting the calories! :D

I wish you all a great weekend, if you go eat out I hope you'll go get something that's in your top 5 list! <3

MMmhh a meme about food! *likey likey*
I LOVE sushi too! It's like a drug! I don't eat it often though because of its cost...

- Do you prefer sweet or savory? I am a fan of everything when it comes to food, but my heart will always belong to sweets.
- What is your favorite kind of cousine/what is your least favorite? Italian cuisine is above all, but I like to experiment, so Japanese, Chinese, Greek, Mexican and Indian food are all welcome. I can't say what my least favourite one is tho... I haven't tried anything which I didn't like :D
- Top 5 of your favorite foods

Top 5 least favorite foods.

I used to be a real pain in the ass, I wouldn't eat any vegetables (nor minestrone!) and even "normal" stuff I would eat only in a particular way, e.g. no minced meat in the sugo, only certain kinds of cheese and fish, and so on. The more my parents tried to force me, the worst it got. In time I just learned to at least try and taste everything and by the time I was 20 I LOVED food and there's nothing I wouldn't eat or try... it's funny how life is... I actually had a hard time finding 5 foods I don't like!

(So you're like the luckiest kids in the world to have PESTO in your minestrone and you didn't even eat it!? Bad, bad girl. :P)
